magic

J.K. Rowling answered the question that many of us has been asking in an interview last week – who was the person that did magic late in life?  The answer was no clear once I finished reading Book 7, but that is because Rowling changed her mind about adding that storyline.  She is certainly entitled to do so and I don’t feel like any of the story is incompletewith out it, but I am so curious as to who this character was supposed to be and what the storyline that got cut was.  Do you think she’ll ever tell?

I don’t think I will be spoiling anything for those who have not yet finished the books, but I do have a couple of questions that I am hoping someone can answer.

J.K. Rowling definitely said that someone would manage to do magic quite late in life, but that it is extremely rare that that happens.  Who did magic late in life?  I’m confused.

Second, I might have an inkling of the answer, but I do not think that the gleam of triump in Dumbledore’s eyes at the end of Book 4 was well-explained.  Anyone have any clarifications?

Here’s a couple of fun questions for all you Harry Potter fans.  We’ve met a few Animagi throughout the first six books – Sirius, Professor McGonagall, Peter Pettigrew, Rita Skeeter.   Which of these Animagi are your favorite?

My second question is if you believe that other characters we’ve met are animagi or will become animagi? From reading the books we know that the animal form an Animagus takes on reflects their inner nature.  What forms do you believe other characters, like Harry, Ron, or Hermione, might take on?

If you were to become an Animagus, what animal do you think your inner nature would reflect?
